How to Catch Animals in Raise Animals 2
Quick answer
- Prepare: Choose maps and an owned starting animal, mark ready, and start the run.
- Finish: Jump between animals and survive taming, then equip the catch to place it at home.
To catch animals in Raise Animals 2, enter a prepared run, transfer between animals, and survive through taming. The useful result is an owned animal you can select again or raise on your farm. A longer distance alone is not the same as completing the animal you wanted.
Prepare the route and starting mount
Select the participating maps, choose an owned animal to ride, mark ready, and begin. Match the route to your goal. An ordinary first catch asks less of you than the continuing multi-biome Hydra challenge, so learn the transfer motion before turning each attempt into a rare-animal run.
For special targets, the biome and animal action both matter. Savanna's Golden Lion route starts with Lion, Jungle's Phoenix route uses Toucans, and Ocean's Whale Shark route uses Ocean animals. Simply selecting all three maps does not complete these conditions.
Make the transfer survivable
Choose the next animal with enough clear space to land and continue riding. Trees remain dangerous during jumps. If you leave the old mount and immediately collide, the lesson is to change your approach rather than assume the transfer input did not work.
Keep the new animal in view and continue the taming sequence. When a run contains an objective counter, use the counter to decide whether the relevant action registered. Do not abandon an otherwise good attempt solely because a creator's route used a different-looking special animal moment.
Use the catch after returning
Caught animals become choices for later rides and can be placed on the farm. Equip the animal you want to raise, then click your farm to place it. That final step connects catching with animal care, produce, and zoo income.
If you are building a specific collection, decide which catch fills a missing role before your next attempt. The Raise Animals 2 rare animal guide explains the supported special objectives, while animal placement covers turning an owned catch into a zoo resident.
